Smoke/CO2 alarm required by law: Cal. Health & Safety Code § 13113.7 Law section and 2010 California Code :: Health and Safety Code :: Chapter 8. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act Of 2010. Homes that are constructed after 1992 are required by California law to have hardwired smoke detectors, while those built prior to 1992 can have battery-operated units.

On October 8, 2019, Gavin Newsom signed a law, SB 329 to prohibit landlords from discriminating against tenants who use housing vouchers to pay their rent (read more here). Listings cannot state that vouchers are not accepted.
